Fraud Alert

We would like to bring to your attention a recent increase in fraudulent activity involving individuals or entities impersonating the University of Miami (UM) to request goods, services, or sensitive information.

Please be advised that any legitimate communication from UM will be sent from an official UM email address (typically ending in miami.edu or med.miami.edu). Red flags may include:
  - Unfamiliar email domains or suspicious sender addresses
  - Urgent or unusual requests for goods, services, or payment
  - Changes in payment instructions or account details
  - Shipments to locations outside of Florida
  - Poor grammar, inconsistent formatting, or unfamiliar contact names

If you receive any communication that seems suspicious or out of the ordinary, do not fulfill the request or click on any links. Instead, for Academy and research orders contact Ignacio Calle (icalle@miami.edu) and for UHealth orders contact Julia Scardigno (jxs2156@miami.edu).

We appreciate your continued partnership and vigilance in helping us prevent fraud.
